Our Economic Rights Legislative Agenda is Here!

Economic Action Maryland’s terrific trio of policy advocates will be in Annapolis advocating for passage of our Economic Rights Legislative Agenda during Maryland’s 90 day Legislative Session.

Economic Action Maryland is redoubling our efforts to build a new normal, one that is inclusive and built on equity and economic rights. This session We will ensure those in debt are not left behind by expanding debt protections, build on our housing work by providing new opportunities to vulnerable housing communities and securing new tenants rights, and work to address access to transportation by creating an affordable auto insurance option in Baltimore City and supporting the expansion of accessible public transit. Finally, we are working to ensure that financial institutions meaningfully invest in all of our neighborhoods, both urban and rural, by strengthening tools used at the federal level, modernizing them for todays’ world, and honing them to better serve Maryland communities’ unique needs.
